We take a look at the Mid Laners top of the meta in 7.32b.
We’ve had the chance to play on patch 7.32b for a while now. Aside from spamming pubs, we can also watch the ongoing TI qualifiers that are also played on the given match. In other words, we have enough data to help us learn more about some of the best heroes in the game.
We’ve already included articles regarding the best and the worst heroes in the meta, so you can check it out. With that said, this article will be more specific and go over some of the most successful mid-laners right now. There are loads of heroes that we can include, but for this article, we will only focus on heroes with at least 40% presence on the lane, according to DotaBuff.
Some of the names might not come as a surprise, but others will probably impress you. So, without further ado, here is what you should know.
Visage
Unsurprisingly, Visage takes the first spot on the list as the best midder in the current meta. His rise started a couple of weeks ago, and since then, people have been using him more and more. Today, the hero has a staggering 57.53% win rate in the mid-lane, which is really impressive.
In case you want to learn more about this hero, check our detailed guide, where we explain everything about him. Long story short, this midder is extremely powerful in a 1v1 scenario and shines during the mid-game. If you decide to pick him, your goal should be to win the lane and use your power to push towers and prevent the enemy team from farming.
Despite his advantages, Visage has some weaknesses, such as the fact that he is not that good in the late game. Hence, some teams that go up against him do everything they can to survive early on so they can dominate afterward.
Meepo
The second name on the list is for our one-man army. Meepo made it to our article regarding the best heroes in the patch, so it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that the hero is also here. Even though some players use Meepo as a carry, he is one of the popular mid-laners that often win games on his own.
Speaking of winning, Meepo has almost a 55% win rate, which makes him one of the best in the meta. The sad thing is that not everyone can take advantage of the hero’s power because he is really hard to master. You need to be able to control multiple units successfully, which is something that not everyone is familiar with.
Those who learn how to master Meepo can expect to gain loads of MMR in no time. After all, this is easily one of the best midders in Dota 2 that you can get if you want to grind.
Huskar
Speaking of mid-lane heroes that can help you gain some MMR, we have to mention one of the most annoying names in Dota 2 – Huskar. The latter has always been a part of the PUB meta but rarely found his way into the pro scene. However, the recent patch and the buffs made him popular once more, which reflects on his win rate.
Despite being one of the more complicated heroes to master, Huskar has a whopping 54.76% win rate, which makes him almost as good as Meepo. With that said, Huskar is much easier to play and highlight effective against people who don’t know how to play against him. Hence, this makes him an excellent option against lower-rated players.
One of the things to keep in mind about this hero is that he is not that good against cores that do a lot of physical damage. Heroes like Sven, Ursa and Phantom Assassin can be extremely effective.
Arc Warden
If you are looking for a hero that can defeat pretty much anything in the lane, including Huskar, you should take a look at Arc Warden. Zet has always been a pub monster because of his ability to farm like crazy and secure solo kills. Hence, he is a vital part of every player’s arsenal.
Arc Warden is very successful in the current meta because he has a 54% win rate. Even though the hero is more popular among the higher ranks in Dota 2, he also has plenty of fans in the lower brackets.
We have a full guide for Arc Warden that covers everything you need to know about the hero. Click here to read it, but don’t forget to check which are the hottest items in the current patch if you want to make the most of him.
Zeus
There are a couple of legendary mid-laners in Dota 2 that have been around forever and Zeus is among them. This is one of the best nukers in the game and the hero that always has the highest hero damage.
Zeus might be slow and easy to kill, but his offensive capabilities are second to none. The hero is a nightmare to play against if you have a squishy hero because of his ability to deal damage and land easy kills.
Judging by the stats, Zeus has an impressive 54% win rate, which is a lot higher than most other popular midders. Interestingly, he has a 60% pick rate, which means that some people use him in the offlane, whereas others pick him as support.
Broodmother
Despite having one of the lowest win rates overall, it seems like the hero is one of the top mid-laners in the current match. With a 53.13% win rate, it is easy to see why Broodmother is one of the worst heroes you can face in Dota 2. She is fast, deadly, and can push your tower in no time.
The only downside of playing with Broodmother is the fact that you have to be aware of multiple counters. Heroes like Eartshaker and Legion Commander can be a real nightmare to play against, so be careful.
