The Best Mid Laners of Patch 7.32e

[ad_1]

We take a look at the midlaners at the top of the meta since patch 7.32e dropped.

The arrival of the latest Dota 2 patch 7.32e changed the current meta by nerfing some of the most popular heroes. The new patch also gave us access to a new hero, different tools, cosmetic items, and more. You can learn about all of them by reading the overview of The Dread Reckoning Update.

We’ve already discussed some of the biggest winners and losers of Patch 7.32e. With that said, this article will focus on a specific position that’s really important for every team – the mid lane.

Choosing the Dota 2 best mid lane heroes isn’t easy, but it’s essential, especially in the current meta. Tour 2 of the 2023 DPC is already here, so let’s take a look at some of the heroes you should focus on in the current patch.

Muerta

Dota 2 - Muerta makes her foes retreat using Dead Shot

Despite the fact that Muerta is usually the team’s carry, some people, such as Topson, have been using the hero in the mid-lane. If you look at every Dota 2 best mid lane tier list, you will find Muerta there because the hero is impressive.

Muerta’s early and mid-game are really strong compared to other popular meta heroes right now. What’s even more impressive is that Muerta scales pretty well in the late game, especially if you get the best items for her. Speaking of items, you can find the best build for Muerta in 7.32e and use it to reach your desired rank.

We expect Muerta to continue to dominate the PUB meta until Valve releases a hotfix that will nerf some of her abilities. Sadly, we won’t be able to see the hero in action among pro players because she’s not available in CM yet. Of course, this will change in the future.

Alchemist

When it comes down to the Dota 2 mid lane, there is one hero that’s always there, regardless of the meta. His name is Alchemist, and it seems like he will be one of the main midders in the Dota 2 patch 7.32e.

If we take a look at the patch notes, we can see that Alch received 2 small buffs that allow the hero to do extra damage. That said, the fact that Radiance isn’t as expensive as before means he can get it even faster. Needless to say, this item allows him to farm even faster and be more efficient.

Even though Alchemist can be an amazing mid laner, it’s worth knowing that the hero has a lot of counters. You don’t want to pick this right away because heroes like Timbersaw, Ursa, and so on can make his life a living hell. Hence, people who want to play with Alchemist have to be more careful and avoid picking first.

Visage

Top 5 Intelligence Heroes in 7.32 - Visage fights enemies with his abilities

If we take a look at the list of the best Dota 2 mid lane heroes, we can find Visage. The latter was among the most dominant heroes in 2022 and helped many teams and players achieve their goals. However, Visage received a couple of nerfs that removed the hero from the meta.

What’s interesting is that Visage didn’t receive direct buffs and nefs. However, some of the items got substantial buffs in the recent patch, and they have an immediate effect on Visage. Solar Crest is probably the best example because the hero always goes for it.

It will be interesting to see if Visage will continue to be among the best mid laners in 7.32e.

Necrophos

The Dota 2 hero, Necrophos, summons eldritch green flames into his hands as he watches from behind his hooded robe

Although Necrophos is not among the go-to midder in Dota 2, the hero often takes this role when needed. That said, Necro wasn’t popular in 2022 at all, so he received a small nerf in the latest patch.

Necrophos and his Death Pulse now cost less mana than before, which means the hero can use it much more often. The buff to Radiance also has an effect on his success because this is one of the items that people go for.

While it’s true that Necrophos is not one of the Dota best lane combos heroes, he can work well with some of the other popular names. For example, he’s pretty good with Muerta because the latter has a lot of burst damage, allowing Necro to use his ult and land a kill.

Outworld Destroyer

Outworld Destroyer uses Arcane Orb to deal Pure damage to enemy units

If you’ve followed the Dota 2 best mid lane player 2022, you’ve probably seen OD every now and then. The hero is a situational pick because Outworld Destroyer can’t work with and against everything. With that said, the small buff he got in patch 7.32e definitely has an effect on his popularity.

Following the new update, OD’s Sanity’s Eclipse will deal 2x damage to illusions. This may not seem that important, but it makes OD a great pick against heroes that rely on their illusions. Naga Siren is probably the first name that comes to mind because she was among the most popular carries in the previous match.

Despite its advantages, Outworld Destroyer has multiple cons you must be aware of. The hero can’t lane against everything, and he’s not good versus hyper-aggressive lineups that won’t allow him to get the farm he needs. Fortunately, he is on the mid-lane tier list Dota 2 for the current patch and has a pretty good win rate.

Templar Assassin

It’s worth knowing that Templar Assassin didn’t receive that many buffs in the current patch. If you check some of the latest Dota 2 mid lane tips, you will see that TA’s win rate increased a bit in the last week. One of the reasons is that her base STR increased by 2. This means the hero will be a bit harder to kill.

Everyone remembers the days when TA dominated the meta a couple of years ago, so we wouldn’t be surprised if she comes back. However, she’s definitely not as good as before.
