Team Spirit TI 10 Champions of last year have certainly been able to capitalise on the fame that their victory in the richest esports tournament in history has brought them.
This week the company has signed not one, but two lucrative sponsorship deals, one with the popular gaming chair manufacturer Secretlab and another with the esports betting provider Parimatch.
Secretlab To Provide Team Spirit With Its Products
As part of the deal with Secretlab, the company has agreed to supply the Russian-based team with a number of its gaming products.
They join the likes of Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, OG, G2 Esports, Invictus Gaming, T1 and ONE Esports as being aligned with the gaming chair company.
“Ultimate Dark Horse”
Speaking about the deal between his company and Team Spirit, the Co-Founder and CEO of Secretlab Ian Ang remarked:
Following Team Spirit’s journey to victory has made The International 10 one of the most exciting tournaments I’ve ever watched. From their start in the lower bracket to winning the largest prize pool in esports history after a nerve-wracking 5-game final, they’ve truly proven to be the ultimate dark horse using all the right tactics this season.
As the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit picks up speed once again, we hope to bring our experience in supporting the world’s top esports teams to help equip Team Spirit with the best for their daily training.
When Team Spirit’s Dota 2 team landed The International 10 last season, they secured a world-record of more than $18 million (approximately £13 million) in prize money.
In response, the CEO of Team Spirit, Nikita Chukalin stated:
We always think about the comfort of our players. That’s why we are excited to start our partnership with Secretlab, one of the best chair manufacturers in business.
We’re looking forward to our co-operation, the future looks bright!
Parimatch Agreement Signed The Same Day
However, it wasn’t just new gaming chairs for their players that Team Liquid’s bosses were busy securing yesterday. The team also announced that they had agreed a deal with sports and esports betting site Parimatch to extend their partnership throughout 2022, with an option to extend the agreement to 2024 should all parties be in agreement.
As part of the deal, the Parimatch logo will be displayed prominently on the front of Team Spirit’s Dota 2 and CS:GO team’s official jerseys, as well as another logo located on the sleeve.
The deal will see the two businesses combine to release a joint catalogue of merchandise in the future, as well as working together to create new content for the esports community and Team Spirit fans.
This is the second time that Team Spirit have extended their deal with Parimatch after the two companies first agreed to work together back in 2019.
“Giants of World Sports”
Speaking about the new deal, CEO of Team Spirit Nikita Chukalin revealed:
“We are glad to announce the continuation of cooperation with the Parimatch brand. We carefully select companies and brands for potential collaboration. Parimatch has established itself as a reliable betting brand that focuses on esports and its development over so many years on the market.”
“Moreover, we are delighted that the Parimatch brand strives to enter into partnerships with the best in their sports. It is a [source of] pride for us to be on a par with such giants of world sports as Chelsea and Juventus.”
“We much appreciate our partner’s interest in the growth of our brand and a concern for the promotion of Team Spirit both in the regional and international arena. This is a rare quality on the market today. Thanks to the Parimatch brand for this approach.”
Parimatch’s head of Esports Stepan Shulga confirmed the deal, stating:
“It is a genuine partnership. We started working even before the legendary roster appeared, even when Dota 2 as a whole was not a priority for ‘dragons’.”
“The victory at the most prestigious esports tournament in the world opens a new page in the organisations history for Team Spirit. Glad we are part of this story.”
