Intelligence heroes are easy to learn among the dozens of characters available in the online game. Most of the Intelligence heroes you can find in Dota 2 are made for the support role, and certain Intelligence heroes are built to become carry heroes. You can choose carry heroes to increase your kill counts in the massively multiplayer game and win praise for your gameplay from your friends during decisive team fights.  

Getting killing sprees with carry heroes in Dota 2 matches is a matter of teamwork and focus. You’ll need to figure out different ways to maintain your kill counts and increase them over time during the game without getting killed. Outworld Destroyer is a carry hero with a large mana pool. He has a base mana of 435 at the start of the game, giving Outworld Destroyer plenty of mana to cast his spells in lanes. The ranged hero has 30 Intelligence and gains a massive 4.2 Intelligence per level.

He has a base attack damage of 49 – 61, letting him level up faster by killing enemy creeps in lanes. Physical attacks from Outworld Destroyer have a maximum range of 450, making the Intelligence hero stronger against melee heroes during the first few minutes of the game. 

People who choose Outworld Destroyer to gain killing sprees can head to the mid lane for bonus experience from creep waves. You can purchase a few items, such as Null Talismans, and a Bottle to help you last longer in the mid lane while farming with Outworld Destroyer. The Intelligence hero can use a Bottle to store and activate runes from the river between waves of enemy creeps.

Players can focus on leveling up Astral Imprisonment after spawning into the game with Outworld Destroyer. You can cast Astral Imprisonment to banish enemy units for up to 4 seconds. Enemy units affected by Astral Imprisonment can take up to 360 damage from the spell. It has a cast range of 650, allowing Outworld Destroyer to cast Astral Imprisonment from a safe distance in the lane. You can increase the cast range of Astral Imprisonment by 100 at level 15 through the Talent Tree. 

You can max out Astral Imprisonment to be able to drain the mana pool of enemy heroes who fight against Outworld Destroyer in the lanes. The Intelligence hero can take at least one level of Essence Flux for Outworld Destroyer to regain mana after casting a spell. The passive ability, Essence Flux, provides a 30% chance to restore up to 25% of the mana pool at level one. Outworld Destroyer can max out Essence Flux to have a chance of restoring up to 55% of the mana pool. 

Arcane Orb is the primary ability that can turn Outworld Destroyer into a serial killer in Dota 2. A maxed out Arcane Orb will deal up to 16% of the mana pool of the Harbinger as Pure damage to enemy units. Arcane Orb has a cooldown of 6 seconds at level one and has no cooldown on the ability at level 4. A worthwhile strategy to explore in Dota 2 while playing Outworld Destroyer is to banish enemy heroes on sight. You can signal your friends to move into their positions before initiating combat in the lanes. The Intelligence hero can deal loads of damage using Arcane Orb to mitigate enemy heroes to increase the kill count of Harbinger in battles. 

You can use Astral Imprisonment on enemy heroes to prevent them from landing killing blows on allied heroes. Seasoned Dota 2 players will avoid casting Astral Imprisonment on themselves while escaping team fights as it is more effective to banish enemy heroes chasing Outworld Destroyer. 

Once you get a few kills with Outworld Destroyer, you can rely on items like Force Staff, Rod of Atos, and Shadow Blade to flee from encounters. These items can be useful to get out of the way of danger after losing a significant amount of health during team fights. 

His ulti, Sanity’s Eclipse, can be cast on multiple enemies to deal a base damage of 400. You can deal an additional 0.4 damage to enemy units based on the difference in the mana pool points of Outworld Destroyer and his opponents. Sanity’s Eclipse has a cooldown of 130 seconds and needs 450 mana to be used per cast. 

Killing sprees are not easy to maintain during Dota 2 matches. Once you get a Double Kill, Triple Kill, or a Dominating kill streak, you can enter and exit battles discreetly with Outworld Destroyer to avoid being killed and losing the killing sprees. You can carry a few Town Portal Scrolls to help you teleport back to base after getting hit by enemy heroes. 

Items to Buy for Outworld Destroyer

Hand of Midas

Hand of Midas provides 40 attack speed to Outworld Destroyer. You can use Hand of Midas to cast Transmute on enemy creeps to instantly kill the target units for 160 gold and double the experience. Hand of Midas has a cooldown of 90 seconds. You can purchase a Hand of Midas for 2200 gold. The increased attack speed will easily let Outworld Destroyer get several kills without losing the streak in Dota 2. 

Aether Lens

Aether Lens grants 300 mana and 2.5 mana regeneration to the ranged hero. Outworld Destroyer can extend the cast range of all of his spells and items by 225 by purchasing an Aether Lens. The item costs 2275 gold. 

Force Staff

Force Staff can be bought for 2200 gold in the game. Harbinger gains 175 health and 10 Intelligence using the item. You can use Force Staff to push Outworld Destroyer forward in the direction he is facing by a distance of 600. Outworld Destroyer can also use Force Staff to displace enemy units to help allies escape during battles. Force Staff is a tremendously useful item that can be monumental toward maintaining the killing sprees obtained in the game by Harbinger. 

Rod of Atos

Rod of Atos provides 24 Intelligence, 12 Strength, and 12 Agility to Outworld Destroyer. You can purchase a Rod of Atos for 2750 gold in the game. Harbinger can cast Cripple using Rod of Atos to root enemy heroes for up to 2 seconds. Rod of Atos has a cooldown of 18 seconds and requires 50 mana to be used per cast. You can hit enemy heroes rooted by Rod of Atos using Arcane Orb to deal Pure damage to them. Rod of Atos can drastically increase your chances of getting killing sprees with Outworld Destroyer. 

Scythe of Vyse

Scythe of Vyse grants 35 Intelligence, 10 Strength, 10 Agility, and 9 mana regeneration to Harbinger. The item costs 5675 gold in the game. You can cast Hex on enemy units to turn them into animals for 3.5 seconds using Scythe of Vyse. Hex has a cooldown of 20 seconds and needs 250 mana per cast. The increased mana pool and Intelligence provided by the item can increase the damage output of Outworld Destroyer with every hit he delivers. 

Bloodthorn 

Outworld Destroyer gains 60 attack speed, 50 attack damage, 25% magic resistance, 20 Intelligence, and 5 mana regeneration by purchasing Bloodthorn. The item can be bought for 6800 gold in the game. 

You can cast Soul Rend on enemy units using Bloodthorn. Any enemy unit affected by Soul Rend will be silenced for 5 seconds and takes up to 130% critical damage for the duration of the spell. These units will also take up to 30% of the damage dealt during Soul Rend as bonus damage. Bloodthorn has a cooldown of 15 seconds and consumes 100 mana per cast. Outworld Destroyer can easily increase his kill counts and killing sprees by equipping Bloodthorn in his inventory. 

Best Allies for Outworld Destroyer 

Omniknight

Omniknight is a Strength hero who can heal Outworld Destroyer using Purification to guard his killing sprees in Dota 2 matches. Purification can be used by Omniknight to restore 300 health to Outworld Destroyer.

Allies playing Omniknight can use their ulti, Guardian Angel, to provide immunity from physical attacks to Outworld Destroyer for up to 7 seconds. Guardian Angel has a cooldown of 120 seconds and needs 250 mana. 

The Strength hero can use Heavenly Grace to dispel any negative buffs from Outworld Destroyer. Heavenly Grace can also increase the base Strength of Outworld Destroyer by 32 and his base health regeneration rate by 20 for up to 10 seconds.
