Dark Willow – Aim for First Blood!
Dark Willow is a support hero with a number of abilities that can prevent enemy heroes from gaining momentum in games. She has a base health of 600 and a base mana pool of 327 at the start of the match. Her abilities make Dark Willow a dangerous hero to face in battles.
You can stick with the team while collecting the first Bounty rune of the match to increase your chances of getting First Blood! with Dark Willow. She can use Bramble Maze to root multiple enemy heroes in a radius of 500 at level 1. Bramble Maze has a cast range of 1000 at the beginning of a match, letting Dark Willow cast the spell to paralyze her enemies. Getting First Blood! will instantly provide 2 points to Dark Willow for the Dead Reckoning, increasing your chances of winning the mini-game in each match with the Intelligence hero.
Players can carry a few Healing Salves and Clarity potions with you to replenish the health and mana of Dark Willow near the river. The support hero can also use these consumable items to heal allies after they’ve taken a significant amount of damage from enemy heroes.
Dark Willow – Harass Enemies with Bramble Maze
Dark Willow can use Bramble Maze to harass enemy heroes in lanes. You can max out Bramble Maze for Dark Willow to root them for up to 2.5 seconds. These mazes can last for up to 15 seconds at a time, making it harder for your enemies to move around the map to get last hits in lanes against Dark Willow.
Bramble Maze has a cooldown of 20 seconds and needs 160 mana to be used in the game. Any enemy unit that chases Dark Willow and her allies through the Bramble Maze get rooted for a few seconds, allowing players to escape during team fights.
The amount of mana required to cast Bramble Maze might require players to buy items to nuke enemy heroes without running out of mana. You can purchase an Arcane Boots for 1300 gold in the game. Dark Willow gains up to 250 mana and 45 movement speed by purchasing the item. People can replenish up to 175 mana to allies in a radius of 1200 using Arcane Boots.
Dark Willow – Roam Across Lanes for More Assists
You can roam across different lanes to get more assists with Dark Willow. Players can use Town Portal Scrolls while playing Dark Willow to teleport between the top lane and the bottom lane to help allies kill enemy heroes early in a match.
Dark Willow – Stun Enemies Frequently
Dark Willow can disable enemy heroes using several different spells in Dota 2 matches. You can nuke enemy heroes with Cursed Crown to stun an enemy unit for up to 3 seconds. Any enemy unit around the target of Cursed Crown in a radius of 360 will also be stunned. It can take up to 4 seconds to stun enemy heroes with Dark Willow using Cursed Crown, letting allies move into their position to deal loads of damage before their opponents are stunned. Cursed Crown has a cooldown of 12 seconds and requires 110 mana to be used per cast.
Players can increase the stun duration of Cursed Crown by 0.5 seconds at level 10 through the Talent Tree. People can also extend the radius of Cursed Crown by 160 at level 15. Once enemy units are stunned by Cursed Crown, Dark Willow can get closer to her opponents to deal bonus damage using her ulti, Bedlam. Dark Willow can deal up to 170 attack damage per second (DPS) during battles. Bedlam has a cooldown of 30 seconds and consumes 200 mana. You can increase the damage dealt by Bedlam after reaching level 15 with Dark Willow.
Dark Willow – Shadow Realm Can Be A Life-Saver
The support team can activate Shadow Realm to become immune to targeted spells and attacks for up to 5 seconds. Dark Willow can easily evade incoming spells and physical strikes from enemy heroes using Shadow Realm to avoid getting killed in battles. You can turn on Shadow Realm and use a Town Portal Scroll to teleport to safety while facing carry heroes like Bloodseeker, who can use Rupture to restrain the movement of Dark Willow during matches.
Dark Willow gains a bonus attack range of 600 while Shadow Realm is active. Shadow Realm has a cooldown of 14 seconds and consumes 100 mana to be used. You can purchase an Aghanim’s Scepter for Dark Willow to remain in the Shadow Realm while attacking enemy heroes for the duration of the spell. An Aghanim’s Scepter can be bought for 4200 gold. Shadow Realm can help Dark Willow get plenty of assists and kills to win the Dead Reckoning.
Dark Willow – Terrorize Your Opponents
The Intelligence hero can disrupt enemy heroes during team fights using Terrorize. Players can cast Terrorize to make them flee from battles for up to 4 seconds. Terrorize has a cooldown of 80 seconds and needs 150 mana per cast. You can use Terrorize on your opponents to help your teammates flee battles after losing a ton of health. You can use Shadow Realm before using Terrorize to be able to cast spells without taking damage from enemy heroes.
Best Allies for Dark Willow – Lina
Lina is a ferocious carry hero in Dota 2. She can level up quickly in the mid lane to unlock her spells and her ulti to destroy her enemies in battles. She can nuke enemy heroes using Dragon Slave to deal 310 damage to them in battles. Lina can stun multiple enemy heroes at once using Light Strike Array to help Dark Willow get more assists for the Dead Reckoning. Enemy units affected by Light Strike Array are stunned for up to 2.5 seconds and take up to 250 damage per cast. The reduced cooldown of Dragon Slave and Light Strike Array allow Lina to mitigate her enemies at a stunning rate.
She can gain bonus attack speed and movement speed by maxing out Fiery Soul during her matches. The passive ability, Fiery Soul, provides up to 32 attack speed and 2.5% movement speed bonus with each spell Lina casts in battles. These spells can be stacked for up to a total of 7 times, making Lina a feared adversary to enemy heroes in Dota 2 games. She can cast her ulti, Laguna Blade, to deal 900 damage to annihilate her opponents. Laguna Blade has a cooldown of 50 seconds and needs 450 mana. Dark Willow can root her enemies using Bramble Maze before Lina can stun enemies with Light Strike Array. You can use Bedlam while playing Dark Willow on enemies stunned by Lina to deal bonus damage for earning flowers in the Dead Reckoning.
Best Allies for Dark Willow – Wraith King
Wraith King is a reliable tank hero. He can stun enemy units using Wraithfire Blast to deal an initial damage of 120 and an additional damage of 80 DPS for 2 seconds. Enemy units affected by Wraithfire Blast will be disabled for 2 seconds and have their movement speed slowed by 20%. Allies can purchase items like an Echo Sabre and Daedalus to deal more damage to enemy heroes with Wraith King. These items provide bonus attack damage to Wraith King that can be used to help Dark Willow gain plenty of assists for the Dead Reckoning in their matches.
The passive ability, Mortal Strike, lets Wraith King deal 270% bonus damage through critical hits. Mortal Strike has a cooldown of 4 seconds and can turn Wraith King into a mighty carry hero in Dota 2. Players can max out Vampiric Spirit to gain Lifesteal from physical attacks while playing Wraith King. Dark Willow can use Cursed Crown and Bramble Maze to assist Wraith King in mutilating enemy heroes during battles.
