Freya Spiers, renowned esports host and interviewer will be taking over the role of Stage Host at the PGL Major in Stockholm, the TO announced today. This comes after the decision to move the Talent into the Avicii Arena itself for the playoffs, which wasn’t the case before.

After the announcement of the Talent for the Major, it was also announced that they’d be working from the HQ of PGL in Romania and not from Stockholm. This wasn’t received well by the fans, because what is a Major if not for the crowd and the talent and the players inside the same Arena playing and screaming their lungs out.

It was then that PGL decided to move the Talent to Sweden, after a lot of backlash from the fans.

The announcement of the Talent also received criticism from some fans regarding ‘Lack of Diversity’ claiming that there were no women on the Cast and it was dominated by White Males, even though it wasn’t the case, with both ‘Bleh’ and ‘Bardolph’ being on the lineup.

And people were quick to disregard the fact that Frankie Ward and Freya Spiers have been stapled names in CSGO since 2018.

Freya will be taking over as Stage Host and will be present in Stockholm alongside the talent.
