- GODSENT, Movistar Riders to battle for second spot tonight
North American squad Extra Salt are the first team to book their tickets to Malta next March, following their 2-1 (13-16, 16-10, 16-10) victory over MAD Lions.
Josh “oSee” Ohm proved once more why he’s become NA’s most sought-after product with a stellar three maps, while South African Johnny “JT” Theodosiou’s out-of-sight improvement has Extra Salt set for Pro League’s group stage next year.
Tonight it’ll be South America’s turn to try their luck at qualifying, with Brazilian squad GODSENT taking on PGL Stockholm Major fan favourites Movistar Riders.
In the lower bracket, LDLC continued their run with a 2-0 (16-14, 16-9) over Eternal Fire, while Sprout overcame Anonymo in a marathon three-mapper 2-1 (16-8, 26-28, 16-11).
Sprout will meet MAD Lions in the first lower bracket semi, with LDLC awaiting the loser of GODSENT & Movistar Riders.

Renegades, ORDER go down fighting
Despite their best efforts, both Oceanic hopes were dashed at the ESL Pro League Conference on Friday, with both teams managing just one series win each.
ORDER kicked off the night with a win over RBG 2-0 (16-9, 19-17) — the organisation’s first international series win in over two years.
Veterans Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland (47-32, 83 ADR, 1.30 HLTV rating) and Karlo “USTILO” Pivac (49-39, 92 ADR, 1.29 HLTV rating) paved the path for ORDER’s victory, but it would prove to be short lived.
The squad failed to back up their earlier result in their series against French squad LDLC, going down 0-2 (6-16, 5-16) to be eliminated from the Conference.
“Although it wasn’t the way we wanted to go, there’s still a lot of positives coming out of this trip,” said Declan “Vexite” Portelli, who dazzled in his international debut.
“Regardless of the result, we’re still happy with the experience and results we’ve gotten by coming to Europe,” said teammate Matthew “Valiance” Hartrick.
“[We] still have a few more days of practice here, so we’ll make the most of it.”
It was a similar result for Renegades, who struggled on their T side against Turkish squad Eternal Fire in their elimination match.
RNG managed just 19 T rounds in their series losses to Extra Salt and Eternal Fire, with the Turks proving too strong, defeating the OCE champions 2-0 (16-11, 16-8).
“It was a disappointing couple of events to end the year,” remarked Joshua “INS” Potter following their Conference elimination.
“We have a lot of work to do if we want to be anywhere near the level we need to be to compete in Europe.”
With both teams eliminated from the EPL Conference, LookingForOrg will be Oceania’s only squad representing the region at ESL Pro League next year, with the group stage set to begin in early March.
ESL Pro League S15 Conference — Event Preview (September 23)
ESL Pro League has returned to close out 2021’s CS:GO competition calendar, but starting with Season 15 and going forward, the format for EPL qualification has changed somewhat.
Gone are the tournament play-ins, with spots at ESL’s premier tournaments in Katowice and Cologne now earned through ESL Pro League.
Season 15 kicks off tonight with the ESL Conference, featuring sixteen teams qualifying through ten separate regions. Only the top three can progress to the ESL Pro League group stage — set for April 2022.
The ESL Pro League Conference will be the first event in two years that will feature not one but two OCE-based squads, with both Renegades and ORDER in Europe to battle it out for EPL qualification.
LookingForOrg await them in the ESL Pro League group stage following their victory at ESEA Premier Season 38.
Renegades remained in Europe following their PGL Stockholm Major campaign to boot camp ahead of the ESL Pro League Conference, with their opening match tonight marking two months overseas.
RNG are heavy favourites heading into their opening series against Mongolian squad Renewal, who come into the EPL Conference as the lowest ranked team in attendance.
It’s a different story for RNG’s compatriots in ORDER. A long time has passed since ORDER’s previous international venture; only Matthew “Valiance” Hartrick and Karlo “USTILO” Pivac remain from the roster that went down to INTZ at 2019’s ESEA Global Challenge.
Rifler Declan “Vexite” Portelli will make his long-awaited international debut at the EPL Conference, with ORDER taking on Anonymo Esports in a tough opening series.
ESL Pro League S15 Conference Rosters
The ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference sees sixteen teams from across the globe battle it out for just three spots at the EPL S15 group stage.
Spanish-based Movistar Riders enter the event as the highest ranked squad following their Masters Espana qualification and a solid run at the PGL Stockholm Major.
Renegades earned qualification through their victory at DreamHack Open OCE in September, while ORDER join thanks to their second place result at ESL ANZ Champs.
Normally, the ESL ANZ Champs victor would have qualified here, but LookingForOrg’s ESEA-P S38 victory already earned them a spot in the group stage for ESL Pro League Season 15.
