Tetris 99 has been available for over 5 years now. However, the game continues to receive a lot of support in the form of themes that fans can get from Maximus Cups. Most of the new themes involve a first-party game that recently released on the Nintendo Switch.
That said, tonight’s news from Nintendo has been very unique. Nintendo has announced that not one, but two Maximus Cups are on the way. The first one will be for WarioWare: Move It, and will take place this weekend. 2 weeks later, another Maximus Cup will be held for Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
