UK: Switch most profitable format for all forms of entertainment in 2021/2022

Games Industry journalist Christopher Dring, who publishes UK chart data, has revealed that the Nintendo Switch has proved to be the most profitable entertainment purchase in the United Kingdom in 2021 and so far in 2022. The Nintendo Switch system obviously costs more than CDs and Blu Ray, but it’s an interesting table none the less and proves just how much ground Nintendo has made in the UK since releasing the Switch in 2017. Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is at No.3 this year and Xbox Series consoles are at No.7, though both systems have seen stock shortages.
