Live a Live, the excellent remake of the Super Nintendo RPG released back in 1994, has now shifted over 500,000 copies worldwide both physically and digitally. The news was shared on Twitter by the game’s producer Takashi Tokita. The Live a Live remake is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch family of systems and uses the HD-2D graphical style used in other recent Square Enix titles such as Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy. Square Enix decided to remake Live a Live as Nintendo had previously asked the team if they would be prepared to release the game on the Wii U Virtual Console to celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary in 2015. The team at Square Enix decided to go one better and remade the game.
