Shares in Nintendo has risen by 5% today due to yesterday’s news that the launch of Splatoon 3 was a huge success in Japan. The Kyoto-based company has yet to reveal how Splatoon 3 sold in other regions when it launched on Friday, but it seems the real success of the game was felt in Japan. The game is now the fastest-selling game in Japan and shifted 3.45 million copies during the first three days of the long-awaited Switch game going on sale. The Switch console currently has an install base of 111 million units worldwide.
