Perhaps one of the most exciting announcements during this week’s Nintendo Direct was Portal: Companion Collection – a two-in-one package containing the first and second game. It marks the first time Valve has ever released its games on a Nintendo platform and it’s got the Portal community rather excited.
Portal subreddit user ‘cmon1090’ took this as an opportunity to share their photoshop concept of a Portal-themed Nintendo Switch – featuring a matching dock and Joy-Con. As you can see, there are all sorts of neat references to the games, including the joysticks as portals:
While we won’t get our hopes up for an official version of this, as noted in the same subreddit, you could always opt with a Portal-themed vinyl for your Nintendo Switch.
Portal: Companion Collection is coming “later this year” to the Switch for $19.99 USD (or your regional equivalent) and has been developed in collaboration with Nvidia Lightspeed Studios. Whenever it does arrive, players can expect the single-player experiences as well as the co-op mode in Portal 2 via split-screen and online multiplayer.
