The Pokémon Company International today revealed a set of special in-game events coming soon to Pokémon GO in celebration of the upcoming launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Pokémon GO expansion.

Starting June 16 and going through June 30, 2022, Pokémon GO players have the opportunity to:

  • Catch a Pikachu wearing a Pokémon TCG-themed hat. This Pikachu can also be found in Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO booster packs.
  • Encounter Mewtwo in five-star raids. The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion will feature Mewtwo V with special artwork inspired by raids.
  • Catch Wimpod and Golisopod for the first time. Both Pokémon appear in the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion.

The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion launches July 1, 2022, at participating retailers worldwide.
