Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa was recently asked about the global hit Palworld and its similarities to the beloved Pokemon franchise. Mr. Furukawa took a similar line to The Pokemon Company by saying that the Kyoto-based company will take action against any who infringe on their intellectual properties. Palworld was dominating Twitch upon launch but has since seen lower viewer numbers, that being said, it’s still amassing quite a few views on the popular streaming platform.
Regarding Pocket Pair’s “Palworld”, which has been pointed out for its similarity to “Pokemon,” Furukawa said that in general, “We will take appropriate action against those that infringe on our intellectual property rights.
