Nintendo: Kirby & The Forgotten Land “performed strongly” in Europe & Asia where Kirby series “has been relatively weak”

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has informed investors that sales of Kirby and the Forgotten Land surpassed expectations in certain markets. Mr. Furukawa said that sales of Kirby games in Europe and Asia were generally “relatively weak” compared to other territories, but thankfully Kirby and the Forgotten Land bucked that trend with sales performing above expectations in both regions. “In addition, sales of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, released at the end of the previous fiscal year, continues to grow significantly this fiscal year, and the title has performed strongly in Europe and Asia where sales of the Kirby series have been relatively weak up to now.”
