News has just come through that the amusing and very over-the-top Lollipop Chainsaw is being remade for consoles. The game first saw the light of day on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012 and was jointly developed by the talented team at Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games, who are renowned for making great and zany action-based games. Lollipop Chainsaw producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, has written in a statement that he and other members of the team have purchased the IP from Kadokawa Games and Warner Bros will be picking up the distribution rights as they did with the original. It is not mentioned which consoles they are targeting, but in the statement from Mr. Yasuda below he said that “they will be taking a more realistic approach to the graphics this time.” The Lollipop Chainsaw Remake will be released in 2023.
