Nintendo has announced a new initiative it is piloting in Japanese care homes which sees Switch consoles being put into care facilities to help older citizens keep their minds and bodies active. You may remember that the Kyoto-based company did similar things with the Wii, specifically using Wii Sports, so seniors could play Wii Bowling and Wii Tennis, and it proved to be a big success with the residents. It is not clear whether Nintendo is planning to expand this initiative to other countries, though it could certainly be on the cards.
