EA Sports FC 24 gets 11 million players in debut week

EA has announced that they have amassed a massive player base with EA Sports FC 24, pulling in 11.3 million players globally during launch week, which is clearly not something to be sniffed at. We haven’t had a breakdown of sales by platform, but the Nintendo Switch version being a lot better than the previous FIFA Legacy Versions must have helped. The Nintendo Switch version of EA Sports FC thankfully uses the updated Frostbite Engine and has finally received feature parity with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

“In addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20% year over year, showing the excitement of football fans everywhere to join the Club,” said EA Sports president Cam Weber.

“We are building the world’s biggest football community through EA Sports FC, and we’re just getting started.”
