The update is on its way according to ConcernedApe and we are all patiently waiting for a firm release date. Today, ConcernedApe posted a screenshot of a pixel-art berry with shades, which is presumably somehow related to the Version 1.6 update which includes a new major festival, new late-game content, 100+ new lines of dialogue, and much more.
